A young 19 -year -old Afghan educated in Dordogne is stuck in Kabul, where he had returned this summer on vacation. Its status is not considered priority by the French authorities. This Saturday, he was whipped by the Taliban by trying to approach the airport.

""I just was whipped by the Taliban.Help me if you hear me "": this is the message posted on Saturday morning on social networks by a young Afghan from Dordogne, in front of Kabul's airport where he was trying, like thousands of people, to approach the'Entrance made by American soldiers on one side, the Taliban on the other. The young man, who has lived in Périgord for several years, had returned to Afghanistan for the first time this summer to review his parents. He has been blocked in Kabul since the Taliban's takeover: ""I risk my life at all times here"", assures the young man.

""I risk my life at all times""

The young 19-year-old Afghan has been educated for several years in Périgord: ""He has his papers, his multi-year stay card is valid, there is no problem with that"", explains Jean-Marie Lelièvre, member of the central committeeof the Human Rights League. His plane was to leave at the end of the month, but all the companies canceled their flights: ""The embassy no longer answers, neither on the phone, nor by email, I have no answer"", assures the young man.

Saturday, like every morning for four days, he went in front of Kabul Airport. It is from there that the planes come back to the French and the Afghans who worked with the French authorities: ""I was in front of the airport entrances, but there are thousands of people in front of the door"", testifies the young man by phone.Afghan special forces soldiers, and American soldiers block the entries.Impossible to get in touch with French services: ""they are inside"".Behind, Taliban: ""They shoot in the air and fuck children like adults,"" says the young Périgourdin.""I just was whipped,"" he said a few minutes later.

Impossible to join the French authorities

The young Afghan ""does not have a status that allows him to repatriate him as a priority.France evacuates in priority the Afghans who collaborated with the French authorities. And this young man does not enter these criteria "", according to Jean-Marie Lelièvre. The young man's uncle, installed in Dordogne, is on the phone with him regularly: ""We must be able to get him out of Kabul and that he can resume his studies.""In the meantime, the young man changes accommodation every day so as not to be spotted:"" The Taliban began to search the houses.I'm really tired, you can't imagine.""

We do not know if France will be able to evacuate people like him."" Mais pour lui, les moyens de pression de la France sur les talibans, pour un Afghan dans sa situation, sont ""pratiquement nuls"".
