The Huawei Y6 (2019) succeeds the Y6 (2018). In the first quarter of 2019, Huawei replaced its cheapest smartphones in the Y range. A lighter and smaller version of the Y7 (2019), the Y6 (2019) benefits from good improvements over its predecessor with a modern design. and an immersive display.6.26-inch HD+ display with notchThe design of the Huawei Y6 (2019) builds on that of its predecessor. The back is made of polycarbonate. The frame and the edges are made of metal. The main photo block is located in the upper left corner. The orientation is different: vertical this year, to create unity with the high-end models. A fingerprint reader is also present. This is the first big novelty. At the front is the second novelty: a Dewdrop screen with a U-shaped notch. The latter only integrates the webcam. If the lower border has been reduced (but is still present so that the manufacturer's mark is still clearly visible there), the upper border has been removed. The screen ratio goes from 18:9 to 19.5:9. Fewer edges and more space left on the screen with an occupancy rate of 87%. The screen measures 6.09 inches (against 5.7 inches previously). It displays images in HD + (1560 x 720 pixels) for a definition of 282 pixels per inch (a figure that does not change from one year to another). The backlight is always IPS. A 2.5D mineral glass protects the touch surface.Mediatek Helio A22 and 2 GB of RAMWhile the Y6 (2018) integrated the Snapdragon 425, the latter is replaced by a chipset that does not come from Qualcomm, but from MediaTek. This is the Helio A22 (MT6761), a chipset engraved in 12 nm and composed of four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2 GHz. The graphics processor is a PowerVR GE8320. Its modem is LTE category 6 compatible. Overall, the chipset is more interesting (and newer) than the Snapdragon 425. The Huawei Y6 (2019) is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, expandable with a microSDXC card (up to an additional 512 GB) to be installed in a dedicated slot. This corresponds to an increase of 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage compared to the Y6 (2018). 13 megapixel camera On the photo side, the Huawei Y6 (2019) takes up the configuration of its predecessor, with a single photo sensor (unlike the Y7 (2019) which wins a second). The sensor is a 13 megapixel model. It is accompanied by a phase detection autofocus. Its large aperture at f/1.8 captures 50% more light. An LED flash provides extra brightness. At the front, the Huawei Y6 (2019) does not have the 5 megapixel webcam of its predecessor. Fourth change, this smartphone benefits from the same webcam as its big brother, the Y7 (2019). It is an 8 megapixel model with an opening lens of f/2.0. It is HDR compatible and comes with an LED flash. The front/rear photo sensors film in 1080p at 30 frames per second. 3020 mAh battery The Huawei Y6 (2019) works with version 9 of EMUI, a ROM based on Android 9.0 Pie. EMUI 9.0 notably offers navigation by gestures, integrates increased system efficiency and intelligent energy management to guarantee you longer autonomy. The battery of the smartphone hardly changes compared to that of its predecessor. Its capacity increases from 3000 mAh to 3020 mAh. It still doesn't support fast charging. For the rest, the smartphone includes a WiFi n and Bluetooth 4.2 modem, a GPS sensor (Beidou and Glonass), an FM tuner, a microUSB 2.0 port, two nano SIM ports and a 3.5 mm jack port. Finally, the smartphone is able to generate 6 dB more sound and more powerful bass. The Huawei Y6 (2019) is available in three colors: black (Midnight), brown (Amber Brown) and blue (Sapphire Blue).
