Five video games have appeared on the Netflix platform after months of testing in certain regions of the world.

A few months ago, Netflix announced the arrival of a handful of video games on its platform, after a colossal investment in the video game industry. These were previously only available in certain European countries. From now on, the whole world can benefit from them since the platform has announced that they are available today to all its subscribers.

A total of 5 games are already available, and the firm intends to diversify its offer over the next few months. Here is the list of playable titles:

At this time, this feature is only available on Android devices. As announced by Netflix, support for iOS will be rolled out a little later. In addition, the test phases only supported Android smartphones as well. The novelty with this global launch is that the titles can also be played on tablets now.

How to enjoy Netflix games?

To do this, you will first need a Netflix account. The firm offers subscription plans ranging from €8.99 to €17.99. Once done, you will be able to fully enjoy the games, which are available to all subscribers at no additional cost. On the homepage, you will find a Games tab, which you can also have as an insert.

Click on it, and choose the game(s) you want to play. You will then be redirected to your phone's application store to download the game in question. Once done, you can play it directly through the Netflix app. Good news for hardcore gamers, the platform supports Bluetooth controllers.

A bet on the future

Netflix's choice to invest in this industry of mobile games is not a trivial choice. The sector has indeed been booming for many years, and more recently since the global pandemic. By offering mobile games inspired by its successful films and series, the firm is only ensuring its back for the sustainability of its platform, at a time when many users are complaining about rising prices.

In addition, Netflix has a few tricks up its sleeve, and intends to offer more games in the future, including one that is faithfully inspired by the film Kate, released last August on the platform.
