Togolese will soon be able to go from Moov to Togocel, without changing the number (Arcep) - Togo First
(Togo First) - In Togo, it will soon be possible for mobile telephony users to switch from one network to another, while keeping their number.Indeed, the regulatory authority for electronic communications and positions (ARCEP) pushes to set up mobile portability with the two operators that are Togocel and Moov.
The measure is the subject of a public consultation and popularization with users and consumers, as indicated by an arcep note.In the context of this process, "the regulatory authority launches a public consultation, the objective of which is to explain to the public the advantages of the portability of mobile numbers and the conditions for setting up the system in Togo", learned-we.
This public consultation, indicates the telecoms gendarme, will be done either via call campaigns, on the arcep website, through consumer associations, or via the USSD *800# channel#.It ends on October 31, 2021.
Note that “Portability will offer consumer the possibility of changing operator, while retaining their number with their original operator, in the event of dissatisfaction with the quality of service and/or to benefit from better offers and prices available atthe competitor ”, said the regulator press release.
