Your Samsung Galaxy can now unlock any Windows 10 device
Until then reserved for manufacturer's machines under Windows 10, Samsung opens its synchronization system with Android devices to other Windows machines.
Since the launch of its first Windows 10 tablet in 2016, Samsung has offered its customers several connections between its Windows devices and its Android devices.These features brought together under the Samsung Flow brand, allow for example to synchronize notifications, easily transfer content, or even use the fingerprint reader of your phone to unlock your PC under Windows 10.
This last possibility is possible thanks to the Windows Hello API which allows manufacturers to offer new ways to unlock machines without using password, often using biometrics.
Samsung Flow becomes compatible with all PCs
If until then these functions were reserved for computers from Samsung, the manufacturer decided to open Samsung Flow to other Windows 10 machines.To benefit from it, just download Windows 10 Creators Update, and have a Samsung smartphone or tablet under Android under Android.
All Samsung Galaxy smartphones on Android 6.0 Marshmallow (or more) and all Samsung tablets under Android 7.0 nougat (or more) are compatible.On the Windows side, Samsung asks that the machine be compatible Bluetooth and that Windows 10 Creators Update be installed.
