NVIDIA is relentlessly pursuing its plan to expand access to its proprietary cloud gaming platform. With the release of update 2.0.37 for the GeForce NOW service, the company has officially completed the testing phase of the application on LG TVs equipped with WebOS. Thus, all owners of the company's receivers from the OLED, QNED, NanoCell and UHD ranges of 2021 can download the full version of GeForce NOW from the LG Content Store. However, these are not all the improvements that the update brings.

NVIDIA decided to put smart scaling algorithms in the hands of gamers with Windows PCs and the RTX 30, RTX 20, GTX 16, GTX 1080 Ti, GTX 1080, and Titan series cards. Until now, the AI Enhanced feature was reserved for owners of the NVIDIA Shield streaming box, but now it is aimed at a wider audience.

With advanced upscaling, owners of slightly more powerful GPUs will be able to take advantage of artificial intelligence trained in graphics processing to improve sharpness and detail when streaming games. Conversely, people with less capable PCs will benefit from the basic scaling algorithms of the Standard or Enhanced versions, which improve image quality less than the AI Enhanced mode.

The company has also improved the tools for streamers to simplify their work. The new version of the software will allow, among other things, to modify certain broadcast quality parameters via the GeForce NOW overlay without interrupting the gameplay. Also, streaming through the web app has been optimized to match the optimal resolution of the device. This improvement is intended to make streaming smoother in the event that a PC is connected to a network whose bandwidth is too low.
