"Lupin", part 2: this hidden message in the trailer that confirms part 3

The A link to a website appears very briefly in the trailer unveiled on Tuesday. Those who saw it were able to discover that a part 3 would see the light of day.

Double good news for fans of Lupine, in the shadow of Arsène, the Netflix phenomenon series worn by Omar Sy. The trailer released this Tuesday by the streaming giant was not only intended to announce that part 2 would be available on June 11: the video also confirms that a part 3 will see the light of day. But to realize it, you had to open your eyes.

For a fraction of a second, this supercharged trailer presents a tight shot of a hand putting down notes in a notebook. On one side of the notebook appears the link http://assane-diop.com written in pen (named after the character portrayed by Omar Sy). The more observant fans logged on to it and discovered a web page marked with the message "Assane is always one step ahead", written in several languages, then: "Lupin will be back for a part 3".

Romain Cheyron, journalist for Serieously, spotted the announcement and shared it on Twitter. Omar Sy replied to her on the social network to confirm her: "We can't hide anything from you. Lupine part 3 is confirmed!"

Unveiled on January 8 with a first burst of episodes, the Lupine series has established itself as an international phenomenon. This series in which the Intouchables actor portrays a man inspired by Arsène Lupine to avenge his father found itself number 1 on Netflix in France and also topped the ranking of the most viewed content of the platform in the United States - a first for a French series - and in a dozen other countries. It has also boosted sales of novels by Maurice Leblanc, the author of the adventures of Arsène Lupin. The official figures fell in April: viewed by 76 million households around the world, Lupine is the most watched series on the platform during the first half of 2021.

This isn't the first time Netflix has played with fans of the series to scatter clues. Monday, 24 hours before the release of the trailer, the platform had invited Internet users to find the release date of part 2 by asking them a riddle on Twitter. The most astute had immediately found the right answer, which was hidden in the time of publication of the message (11:06).
