Your personalized music thanks to the artificial intelligence of the start-up AIbstract

All themes can be cooked with artificial intelligence sauce. Even the most cultural since a young company from Albi, AIbstract, has the ambition to develop software that will compose personalized music. A slightly crazy idea that was born in the well-made mind of Jason Valax. After several experiences in innovative start-ups, he decided to embark on the adventure. A first step has just been taken with the financing on a participative site of the next evolution. He hoped to raise €40,000 in investment, but in the end it was more than €52,000 that 88 contributors deposited in his digital purse. This will make it possible to set up a promotional campaign for the marketing of the logician next February.

Far from positioning itself as a competitor to musicians, according to Jason Valax, "the AIbstract project aims to develop and market a software solution operated in cloud computing and using artificial intelligence technologies in order to offer the services of a virtual and autonomous singer-songwriter. This solution allows its users, both individuals and professionals, to create and broadcast original, personalized and royalty-free music in real time, with no prerequisites in terms of musical skills. » Music within everyone's reach. It's the slightly crazy dream carried by the team of seven people who are working hard on this software.

Marketing in February

A test version is already online on the company's website (aibstract.fr). Totally free for now. Once registered, all you have to do is enter a few variables such as the instrument, the key or the rhythm and in a few seconds you can listen to this completely new composition. “Our goal, explains the young leader, is to develop an interface using language. We describe the music we want to hear, artificial intelligence creates it for you. This will no doubt be in future versions, at the end of the year if all goes well. Because to develop the algorithms allowing artificial intelligence to compose music, it was necessary to carry out a long work of theorization of musical creation, still in progress.

The next step for the Tarn company will be to market its service. In February, the four groups of users (organizations, individuals, musicians and content creators) will be able to subscribe to use the software which remains online. For individuals, the price will be 3 euros per month for the first six months. For other users, the prices should be between 12 and 35 €.

The collaboration with the Pole Action Média du Soler in the Pyrénées-Orientales has enabled the Albigensians to get to know the other cultural and creative companies in the Region better. It is also through this intermediary that AIbstract was contacted by the Region to participate in the Vivatech show in Paris. A very good experience that could have continued at CES in Las Vegas. Asked by the Region to be part of the Occitan delegation sent to the USA, Jason Valax preferred to skip his turn, for "very pragmatic and financial reasons". But next year, once the launch has passed and version 2 will be ready, AIbstract intends to broadcast its music in the aisles of CES.
