Automobile industry: Gasycar officially presented
Gasycar, the new Malagasy Auto-Moto brand was officially presented yesterday at the Ivato International Conference Center.After the Karenjy, it will be the second Malagasy car brand.
Gasycar is the fruit of a joint venture between a Chinese company, another German and the Malagasy State.Thanks to the technological cooperation of the Chinese and Germans, all the parts of Gasycar vehicles will be assembled locally affirms Andry Rajoelina during the presentation of the brand yesterday.
The Head of State said that Gasycar management and management will be mainly entrusted to Malagasy.He announced that designers and expatriate engineers would be ready to return to the country to bring their know-how.
The establishment of the Gasycar brand production plant will go through three stages.The first will consist in setting up the assembly unit.The second step on the distribution of the brand.And finally, as part of the third stage, the Malagasy State aims to set up the manufacturing plant proper where more than 50% of the materials will be produced locally, within three years.
During yesterday's ceremony, 100 Gasycar prototype motorcycles were offered to national police officers.
