Four cases of Covid-19 at the Amazon warehouse in Brétigny-sur-Orge
Is the American giant Amazon endangering its employees? This is assured by the CGT, which has just sent a letter to the prefecture of Essonne. “We are calling for the immediate closure of the Brétigny-sur-Orge warehouse [Editor’s note: which employs 2,500 people]. A closure which will have to be maintained until the precautionary measures are put in place to protect the employees”, indicates Ollivier Champetier, secretary general of the CGT. Response from the State services: “This type of report falls within the exclusive competence of the labor inspectorate, which has moreover been seized by this union”.
